🎶MUSICAL - ALICE IN WONDERLAND 🎶

Bravo, Argo Musical! You sang! You danced! You left us wanting more!

🎤 ARGO VARIETY SHOW 🎭

Registration deadline has been extended to 1/10/25! Head to the PTA website for more information, including the registration link and Parent Information Meeting recording.

WE ARE THE WORLD WALKATHON

Ms. Reichmuth's Fourth Grade is raising funds for Heifer International’s Send a Girl to School program. Every $225 raised sends one girl to school, and our goal is to raise $550, enough to send two girls to school which will help families and generations!

• 📅 When: Dec. 17–19, during morning recess
• 📍 Where: Argonaut lower blacktop
• 👟 Who: Room 23 students, parent volunteers, and anyone who wants to join!

Each student will walk 15 laps over three days to raise money for this important cause. A suggested donation of $15 (just $1 per lap) or more will help make education accessible for girls around the world. Donations of any size are welcomed and appreciated. Your support will make a lasting impact!

How to Get Involved:

Thursday 12/12-Saturday 12/14: Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice as she navigates the curious world of Wonderland on a journey of self-discovery.   Purchase performance tickets here for shows on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM and Saturday at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Through 11/6 visit the Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit in the Argo Library.  We encourage everyone to enjoy all the symbols of this Latin American holiday and use it as a teaching tool. There are signs posted all around explaining the symbols and origins of the holiday. Argo Bears have added a little piece of their family or artwork to the exhibit. Thank you to Mrs. Tawaratsumida's class, Mrs. Kannberg's class, and parent volunteers for putting this on!

 BOOK FAIR 

During Conference Week (11/4-11/8), visit the Book Fair in the Argo Library during recess and after dismissal all week! Students wanting to purchase items other than books must show a parent-signed permission slip to buy non-book items. There are still opportunities to volunteer!

AUTHOR VISIT

Max Brallier, author of The Last Kids on Earth series, will visit Argonaut on Wednesday, 11/13. Order by Thursday, 11/7 to get a copy signed by the author! Place orders here.

 ARGO VARIETY SHOW 

The stage is set for Friday, 3/14/25! While we welcome solo acts, we HIGHLY encourage group acts.  Head to the PTA website for more information, including details to join the Parent Information Meeting (Wednesday, 11/13) and registration link (Registration closes Friday, 12/13)

WELL DONE AND GOOD LUCK, ARGO ROBOTICS!

On Saturday, November 2, six Argonaut teams competed in a robotics scrimmage hosted by Saratoga MSET. Team 1, the “Oceanic Overlords” (Anika, Eason, Isen, and Jonathan), took 1st place in the Innovation Challenge and 3rd place in Robot Design. Team 2, “Argo Spitfire” (Abhay, Elliot, Kabir, Reyansh, and Shivaansh), earned 3rd place in Robot Performance.

Wishing all teams the best of luck in the upcoming FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournaments over the next few weeks!

10/31-11/6 Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit in the Argo Library.  We encourage everyone to enjoy all the symbols of this Latin American holiday and use it as a teaching tool. There are signs posted all around explaining the symbols and origins of the holiday. All Argobears have added a little piece of their family or artwork to the exhibit. Thank you to Mrs. Tawaratsumida's class, Mrs. Kannberg's class, and parent volunteers for putting this on!

Membership Toolkit (MTK) did an “update” that may have swapped contact information between parents (eg, Parent 1 became Parent 2, vice versa).  Please log into the Argonaut PTA website and confirm the contact information for the accounts so any volunteer signups reflect the correct parent information.  The update did not impact any registrations, donations, or purchases.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for working with us! As part of the Diwali Assembly on 10/25, we will showcase a video compilation of Argo students explaining what Diwali means to them. If you would like your student(s) to be part of this presentation, have them dress in their festive best or get together with a group of Argo friends, and record a video of them explaining what Diwali means to them (in 5 words or less or they can simply wish 'Happy Diwali, Argonaut'). We encourage all students, regardless of their background, to participate in this celebration of Diwali. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts and wishes for the festival! Upload the video to the Argo PTA Diwali Album by Friday, 10/11. If you have any questions, email diwali@argonautpta.org
