Don’t put away your Halloween Minions costume yet! Dress up and come this Friday, 11/15 to enjoy a Minions movie with your school community! Bring your own chairs and picnic blankets. We will camp in the MPR! The movie starts at 7:30p.

Make it dinner and a movie! The Argo Musical will sell pizza and boba tea to raise money for their production of Alice in Wonderland, Jr. Argo PTA will provide free movie snacks. See you there!

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Through 11/6 visit the Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit in the Argo Library. We encourage everyone to enjoy all the symbols of this Latin American holiday and use it as a teaching tool. There are signs posted all around explaining the symbols and origins of the holiday. Argo Bears have added a little piece of their family or artwork to the exhibit. Thank you to Mrs. Tawaratsumida's class, Mrs. Kannberg's class, and parent volunteers for putting this on!

BOOK FAIR

During Conference Week (11/4-11/8), visit the Book Fair in the Argo Library during recess and after dismissal all week! Students wanting to purchase items other than books must show a parent-signed permission slip to buy non-book items. There are still opportunities to volunteer!

AUTHOR VISIT

Max Brallier, author of The Last Kids on Earth series, will visit Argonaut on Wednesday, 11/13. Order by Thursday, 11/7 to get a copy signed by the author! Place orders here.

ARGO VARIETY SHOW

WELL DONE AND GOOD LUCK, ARGO ROBOTICS!

On Saturday, November 2, six Argonaut teams competed in a robotics scrimmage hosted by Saratoga MSET. Team 1, the “Oceanic Overlords” (Anika, Eason, Isen, and Jonathan), took 1st place in the Innovation Challenge and 3rd place in Robot Design. Team 2, “Argo Spitfire” (Abhay, Elliot, Kabir, Reyansh, and Shivaansh), earned 3rd place in Robot Performance.

Wishing all teams the best of luck in the upcoming FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournaments over the next few weeks!

In addition to three thrilling custom-built pumpkin smashers, you can expect visits from Makers across California, fun science experiments, ice cones, and robot demos for kids. Get ready to whoop and cheer at this STEM-inspired event for all the family – we’ll see you there!

Ms. Larraux’s 4th Grade class will sell lemonade!

Why: Recently, there was a wildfire in Lahaina, Maui. We want to help the victims of the fire.
When: We will be selling lemonade on 10/23 and 10/25 at both dismissals.
Where: We will be standing at the red benches in front of the MPR
Other Info: Our price is $2 for a 10 oz cup. Donations Appreciated.

Business Sponsorship and Volunteer Opportunities for SEF 5K Fun Run: Last year, over 700 participants showed up at the SEF 5K Fun Run to support SEF and SUSD schools. If you own a business, this is a great way to promote your services or products! All sponsors are listed on our T-shirts and event banner.
