Silent Auction

Collect auction items from local businesses and school community. Make signs and set starting bid prices. Communicate with prize winners after the event.

Contact local businesses and send messages to school community to solicit auction items. What type of items? Gift card donations or gift baskets work. Experiences like "principal for the day", "lunch with 5th grade teachers", "2x 1-hour photography lessons", and similar things are all inexpensive prizes that also allow people to get to know one another!

Create bidding sheets
Design and print bidding sheets based on previous years' materials. Make sure to include text and image descriptions as needed. Also make sure to include a starting bid price.
