DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Through 11/6 visit the Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit in the Argo Library. We encourage everyone to enjoy all the symbols of this Latin American holiday and use it as a teaching tool. There are signs posted all around explaining the symbols and origins of the holiday. Argo Bears have added a little piece of their family or artwork to the exhibit. Thank you to Mrs. Tawaratsumida's class, Mrs. Kannberg's class, and parent volunteers for putting this on!

BOOK FAIR

During Conference Week (11/4-11/8), visit the Book Fair in the Argo Library during recess and after dismissal all week! Students wanting to purchase items other than books must show a parent-signed permission slip to buy non-book items. There are still opportunities to volunteer!

AUTHOR VISIT

Max Brallier, author of The Last Kids on Earth series, will visit Argonaut on Wednesday, 11/13. Order by Thursday, 11/7 to get a copy signed by the author! Place orders here.

ARGO VARIETY SHOW

The stage is set for Friday, 3/14/25! While we welcome solo acts, we HIGHLY encourage group acts. Head to the PTA website for more information, including details to join the Parent Information Meeting (Wednesday, 11/13) and registration link (Registration closes Friday, 12/13)

BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB CELEBRATION

November Birthday Book Club Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, 11/21! Check your email for the invitation. The deadline to place an order to join this month is Thursday, 11/14. Head to Birthday Book Club to find out more and sign up to volunteer!

MOVIE NIGHT (Friday, 11/15)!

And the winner is Minions: The Rise of Gru with Ratatouille close behind. Sorry, Mary, maybe next time.

WELL DONE AND GOOD LUCK, ARGO ROBOTICS!

On Saturday, November 2, six Argonaut teams competed in a robotics scrimmage hosted by Saratoga MSET. Team 1, the “Oceanic Overlords” (Anika, Eason, Isen, and Jonathan), took 1st place in the Innovation Challenge and 3rd place in Robot Design. Team 2, “Argo Spitfire” (Abhay, Elliot, Kabir, Reyansh, and Shivaansh), earned 3rd place in Robot Performance.

Wishing all teams the best of luck in the upcoming FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournaments over the next few weeks!

ARGO DINES OUT

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Argo PTA at Mendocino Farms! Want to join in on the fun for the next one? Friday, 11/22 (Minimum Day), take a break and let the kids burn off some energy with friends at Chuck E Cheese! 20% of sales all day will come back to the Argo PTA.
