🚨 CRITICAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

• 🪔 Diwali Classroom Activity Volunteers (more information below)
• 🪩 Winter Ball still needs TWO co-chairs before 11/01, or we may need to cancel.  Email info@argonautpta.org 
• We need one volunteer with CPA skills to perform two financial reviews (audits) of PTA financials. (Keep us honest!) This job and others are described at https://www.argonautpta.org/boardjobdescriptions.

📚🎁 BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB CELEBRATION 🥳

• October Birthday Book Club Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, 10/24!  Check your email for the invitation. Head to Birthday Book Club to find out more.

🪔 DIWALI CELEBRATION

• Special Diwali Assembly will be held on Friday,10/25 at 8:45a in the MPR. Parents are welcome to attend this special assembly!
• URGENT:  Classroom Volunteers needed for classroom Diwali activities! Please sign up to volunteer for Diwali classroom activities by Thursday, Oct. 24th! No prior experience required. Instructions and materials provided by the PTA. Click on your student’s Classroom Volunteer Signup and scroll down to the Special Class Activities for opportunities. (Make sure you are logged in and Student Information is complete with your child's teacher in order to view the signup sheet). If you have any questions, please reach out to us at diwali@argonautpta.org.
• 📸 Diwali Photo Booth: Tuesday, 10/29/24 After dismissal, stop by the Diwali photo booth in front of the MPR to take pictures with your students! We encourage everyone to dress up in something festive or sparkly!

🍋 ROOM 27 LEMONADE SALE 

Ms. Larraux’s 4th Grade class will sell lemonade!

• Why: Recently, there was a wildfire in Lahaina, Maui.  We want to help the victims of the fire.
• When: We will be selling lemonade on 10/23 and 10/25 at both dismissals. 
• Where: We will be standing at the red benches in front of the MPR
• Other Info: Our price is $2 for a 10 oz cup. Donations Appreciated.

Join us for the annual Halloween Parade on Thursday, 10/31 @ 10:30 AM on the lower playground blacktop.

🎥 VOTE ON FILM FOR MOVIE NIGHT!

Members, time to flex your voting power again! Vote on a film for Movie Night HERE! Voting closes Thursday, 10/31. The students will be voting concurrently at school. And movie night will take place Friday, November 15.

🎃 SHS 3rd Annual SMASH Fair

Ready for some post-Halloween fun with your pumpkins? At the 3rd Annual SMASH Fair, get your pumpkins smashed and composted for free in the Saratoga High School Quad on Friday, 11/1, from 3:30-6:30 PM. In addition to three thrilling custom-built pumpkin smashers, you can expect visits from Makers across California, fun science experiments, ice cones, and robot demos for kids.  Get ready to whoop and cheer at this STEM-inspired event for all the family – we’ll see you there!

👟 Saratoga Education Foundation (SEF) 5K Fun Run

Business Sponsorship and Volunteer Opportunities for SEF 5K Fun Run: Last year, over 700 participants showed up at the SEF 5K Fun Run to support SEF and SUSD schools.  If you own a business, this is a great way to promote your services or products! All sponsors are listed on our T-shirts and event banner. For more details on the sponsorship packages, please click here!
