REGISTER AND JOIN PTA

Head to the Argonaut PTA website to register for a free account so you can volunteer, shop, and register for events. While you are there, sign up for or renew an annual PTA membership ($15). Becoming a member allows you to vote on PTA matters such as ice cream flavors for the Ice Cream Social, programs and events sponsored by the PTA, and much more.

JUST DO IT DONATION

Argo PTA asks all families to Just Do It and make a tax-deductible donation of $195 per student to fund the programs and events that enrich the lives of students, staff, and families in our community. See if your company matches and double or triple your donation!

📣 CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

The Argo PTA is a 100% volunteer-run organization. Head to the Argonaut PTA website to volunteer in your student’s classroom and for programs and events. All volunteers must be SUSD cleared. Get started by attending one of the TB Risk Assessments hosted by SUSD. Questions? Email info@argonautpta.org.

Our social events are open to the entire Argo community, parents, staff, students, members, and nonmembers alike. For planning purposes, please RSVP for our Ice Cream Social by Wednesday, 9/11 for the event on Friday, 9/13.

PTA Members, vote on flavors by tonight to decide the menu! Want to vote? Becoming an annual member ($15) is affordable, fast, and now delicious!

📚BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

Celebrate your student’s birthday AND help stock our school library with new books. It’s a WIN-WIN! Visit the Birthday Book Club website for the book wishlist and participation form.

🧮 MATH OLYMPIAD REGISTRATION

4th and 5th Grade Families - Argo Math Olympiad Registration is now OPEN! Visit the Math Olympiad webpage to find details and to register. Registration closes 9/06. Further information will be sent to registered families. Expect a Google Meet call to go over the program details during the week of 9/09.

🎶 Saratoga Music Boosters - 50 Years Celebration!

Saratoga Music Boosters (SMB) supports SUSD's band, orchestra, and Redwood Middle School music programs. At Argonaut Elementary, SMB provides 5th grade Band & Strings AKA “Beginning Instrumental Music Exploratory.”

Founded in 1974, SMB has been a vehicle to help realize our music directors’ visions to grow the music programs offered in SUSD schools and Saratoga High School into the world-renowned music program it is today!

Join us at SMB’s Golden Jubilee Fundraiser celebration to honor our history, our mentors/teachers/team who have helped make SMB what it is today, and to help ensure the continued success of our future generations of musicians and achievements.

The Argo Spirit Wear Store is open! If you placed your order by Monday, 8/26, you will be notified to pick up your order on Thursday, 8/29 at Back to School Night (subject to stock availability on a first-come, first-served basis). Orders placed by Sunday, 9/01 will be distributed to classrooms on Monday, 9/23.

School-wide assemblies are held every Friday at 8:45 AM in the MPR. After drop-off, parents are invited to attend and see which students earned 🐻 Bear Paws 🐾 (sponsored by the PTA) and which class walks away with the coveted Golden Apple 🍎. Maybe you’ll meet some PTA Board Members! 👋🏻

Saratoga Education Foundation – SEF

WHAT IS SEF?

It’s all of us! Saratoga Education Foundation (SEF) is district families that work together to provide our children with enrichments that make their education more valuable and competitive. This year SEF is funding the following programs for all students at Argonaut Elementary, Foothill Elementary, Saratoga Elementary, and Redwood Middle School:

General music for TK-5
Science labs for 4th and 5th
Makerspace TK-5
Redwood STEM classes
Redwood Seminars
